Dr. Keith Thomas, Senior Pastor
Dr. Keith Thomas is the senior pastor of Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, one of the largest churches on the Gulf Coast. He has served there since 2003.
He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. He continues to have an impact on Christian education as he serves as a Trustee for Emanuel University and Seminary in Oradea, Romania. Dr. Thomas has served on the Board of Trustees as well as taught classes at the Baptist College of Florida, and served as a Trustee for Palm Beach Atlantic University for 13 years.
Dr. Thomas was diagnosed in November of 2007 with pancreatic cancer. In December of 2007, he underwent surgery to remove the cancerous part of his pancreas. The Lord has mightily moved in the life of Dr. Thomas during this time of refinement. In April 2008, his doctors pronounced him “cancer free”. By faith, he has stood and will continue to stand on God’s promise to him found in Psalm 118:17-18 “I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done. 18 The LORD has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.” This journey has become an amazing ministry point for Dr. Thomas as he ministers to others across the United States who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Thomas and his wife, Karen, have been married for over 30 years and have raised four children.
