Preschool Ministry

Our Preschool Ministry here at Cottage Hill wants to partner with parents in their efforts to lay strong spiritual foundations in the lives of their young children. Using Deuteronomy 6:4-7 as a Biblical model, we are to diligently teach our children how to love God with all of their heart, soul, and strength.

We desire for each preschooler (birth through Kindergarten) to:
• learn about Jesus and His love for them
• learn about the Bible
• think of church as a safe and happy place to be
• realize the importance of family
• make new friends

Our Preschool Ministry is a vibrant and fun atmosphere in which preschoolers learn scriptural concepts about God, Jesus, church, Bible, self, family, others, and God’s creation. Bible Study teachers are equipped to creatively lead preschoolers through activity-based, firsthand experiences that begin to shape their young minds as to who God is. Mission Friends and Preschool Choir also encompass many hands-on experiences for preschoolers to learn about Jesus’ love for the world around them.

Mom's Day Out

…Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Reservations for Babies through Fives can be made by calling 660-2426 beginning each Monday at 8:30am. Permanent Reservations may be possible by calling the MDO Coordinator, Ann Howard (661-8350 ext.2248) or Gina Crane, Childcare Coordinator at 510-3478.

Children’s Choirs and Mission Friends

… are conducted on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-7:15pm. Preschoolers will enjoy singing and learning about missionaries and their work around the world.

Parent-Baby Dedication Service

Twice a year CHBC conducts a special and meaningful Sunday morning service when Parents will publically and prayerfully vow to raise their child in a christian home where Christ will be honored, obeyed and loved. Parents are required to attend a fellowship and instruction time the night before with Dr. Thomas. Our next dedication service is May 9th (Mother’s Day).

Preschool Bible Study and Extended Session (ETC)

… each Sunday morning from 9am – 12noon preschoolers are welcomed to enjoy age level appropriate Bible learning activities. From babies to Kindergarten the kids will share a variety of “hands-on” experiences which includes music and singing, prayer, Bible stories, games, free play with books, blocks, home-living, puzzles, playgrounds, and crafts/art. It is a policy at CHBC that all adults who teach minors be background screened before they can serve.

Indoor Playgrounds

… Two playgrounds are open daily from Tuesday to Friday until 5pm. Parents, you are welcomed to bring your children for a time of play and enjoyment. Playground rules are posted in each playground.
