Missions Minute
DID YOU KNOW?
Through your missions offering, which is above and beyond your tithe, Cottage Hill supports a number of local, national and international ministries as part of our commitment to impact our “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth”. This week’s spotlight is on Sue and Travis Barfield, missionaries to St. Petersburg, Russia. Sue and Travis have been missionaries in Russia for many years. Their duties include working with several local Baptist churches in the vicinity of the St. Petersburg Oblask. In July 2007, Cottage Hill, under the leadership of Jim Robinson, traveled to Russia to work alongside the Barfields conducting Summer Camp for children in the local churches as well as the surrounding communities. Additionally, they worked side by side with Sue and Travis ministering to adults in alcohol rehabilitation programs. The presence of Americans is a great inspiration to the Russian people as well as the Barfields.
Your missions giving goes directly to support missionaries like the Barfields and others around the world. When we fall short of our financial commitment, these long time Cottage Hill members see their ministry decrease due to lack of funding. Join with us in your faithful giving and prayerful commitment to be a part of what God is doing in and through Cottage Hill. Watch for more information coming about Russia – July 2008!
How do I give to missions?
Mark the “for” line on your check for missions or mark your offering on the iCanGive-Missions line on your tithing envelope.. No money is taken from your regular tithe to support missions. It needs to be designated specifically for missions by you. Thanks Cottage Hill! You are appreciated!
