You must use a white envelope located at the 55+ desk and provide your name, phone number and the activity you are paying for on the envelope. Checks are preferred but not mandatory. Please write at bottom of check what activity you are paying for.

May 15th (9a.m.) - Heritage Homestead/Picnic Lunch Some of you will feel like you are at your childhood home as we take a step back in time at this well preserved homestead in Chunchula. Bring a sack lunch and drinks will be provided. The cost is $12 per person. We will fill the mini-bus and carpool with the additional participants. Checks must be turned in with reservation the last day being Wednesday May 7th!!

June 19th (7 a.m.) - Williamsburg Replica at American Village/Picking Peaches/Grandchildren
Join us as we head to one of the most visited attractions in the State of Alabama in Montevallo, near Birmingham. Go from building to building and listen to the stories of our great American heritage. You will be amazed at what you see and hear. Take your grandchildren if you wish because they will learn history and have fun as well. We head to Culp’s U-Pick it Peach Farm where we literally pull up to the tree to let you fill your baskets with fresh peaches at a price you can’t beat. Cost is only $35 per person for transportation and entry into the attraction. Bring a sack lunch and money for peaches. We will return approx. 5 p.m.

July 10th (10 a.m.) – Cake & Pie Bake-off Watermelon Contest/Lunch Think the title is long enough? Join us for this fun event as you bring your award winning cake/pie and win prizes. Enter our Watermelon seed spitting contest and win a prize! It’s all going to be great fun and we will have a wonderful lunch to boot. Cost is only $5 and you must prepay by Sunday July 6th. Don’t miss it!

August 14-15 (12 noon) – Overnight Getaway to Captain Anderson’s Dinner Cruise/Concert in Panama City, Florida Join us for the wonderful 2 ½ hour Dinner Cruise of St. Andrews Bay featuring a concert by your very own Ronnie McCarson. We will stay overnight at a motel and return after lunch on
Friday. Cost for the trip is only $100 pp (double occupancy). Deposits of $50 are due at registration, with balance due by August 1. The cost includes, the cruise, buffet dinner, breakfast and motorcoach transportation. Bring a little extra money for snacks and tip for the driver. Don’t miss this popular outing! We can only take the first 50 to sign up.

September 11th (10:30) – Lunch at Spot of Tea/Three Georges/M&M Peanuts
If you have never been to the spot of tea you are missing a treat. Join us for a delicious lunch featuring your favorite soup, sandwich and salad. We will take a stroll down the street to visit the Three Georges and M&M peanuts. Between these two places you are sure to find a snack to carry home or a gift to give a friend for an upcoming birthday or any other special occasion. Bring money for lunch and extra spending money. We will meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. and use the mini-van and carpool as well.

October 9th (10 a.m.)- Catfish at Rocky Creek in Lucedale Join us for some of the best catfish around. Start off with wonderful slaw and hushpuppies w/cheese dip and the pick your choice of whole or filet catfish. Total cost is $15 which includes your meal and transportation. We will take our mini-bus and then carpool with all the rest. Deadline is Sunday October 5th.
November 13th (10 a.m.) - Thanksgiving Luncheon and Baskets to our Homebound members Join us for this annual event where we assemble and deliver baskets of goodies to our members at home and in care facilities. The cost for the meal is only $5 and please come prepared to deliver one or more baskets as we provide street directions to those who help us. You will be blessed as these members are so appreciative of this act of kindness.

December 18th (10 a.m.) – Smoky Mountain Christmas Party Experience wonderful singing, fun and fellowship in our Fellowship Hall starting at 10 a.m.. Bring an inexpensive wrapped Christmas ornament for our zany ornament swap and an offering for the retired ministers fund. Cost is only $5 and you must prepay at the 55+ office for this event. Make your reservations early. First come, first served!

December 11-13 (7:30 a.m.) - Cajun Country Christmas Join us for a wonderful 3 day/2 night getaway to Lafayette Louisiana experience some wonderful food, fun and fellowship. Your package includes 2 nights lodging, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, 9 attractions, 1 Christmas Concert, 1 dance lesson, full-time escort/guide, baggage handling and motor coach transportation. Cost is $315 double occupancy and a $100 deposit is due at the time of registration. The price is based on no less than 40 people going. Pick up your detailed itinerary at the 55+ desk and get your deposit in ASAP! It’s going to be a blast!
