Prayer is the Key!

I believe that the spirit at Cottage Hill Baptist is the best since I have arrived in 2001. There is such a sweet spirit here and people expect to see people saved each time they come to Worship. Our Worship has been spirit filled and the presence of the Lord has been experienced each service. New families continue to come to our church weekly and new members join almost every Sunday! Lives are continuing to be changed and marriages put back together through the ministry of our Laity Care Center across the street. We have some of the most spiritual youth in our Jr. and Sr. High departments that I have seen in a long time. Children love their teachers and worship time and the parents of infants love our new facilities that they can leave their child in a safe environment. Our 55+ family is continuing to reach out through mission projects, Joy Singer concerts (people being saved), homebound and meal delivery ministries and having fun while doing it.

I Believer Prayer is the Key! I listened through the door as one of our dear saints (Anita Smith) prayed in her Bible Study Class. If you have ever heard her, you know she knows how to pray! I believe the reason the way things are is that Anita and others like her have not ceased to pray. It matters not whether you are a big church or a small church! What matters is whether God shows up each week and people are being saved and lives are being changed. Are we faithfully inviting others to church and when that new person moves in; do we care enough to bake them something and or call and invite them to come.

Continue to pray as we seek to reach our world for Jesus. Are we perfect? Absolutely not! Do we still have challenges? Absolutely! Is God big enough to meet every need and challenge we have? You better believe it! He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine and nothing is too hard for our God! Prayer is the key! Keep on praying, keep on giving, keep on serving and keep on sharing and let’s see what our God will do!
