preschoolers learn about God
Preschoolers learn their earliest feelings and attitudes about
God from their interaction with parents and teachers. As teachers,
you help develop the preschooler’s concept of God through
your interactions with them.
Preschoolers learn:
- God’s love – when we simply love them with generous
hugs, words of encouragement speaking with a quiet, kind voice.
- God is forgiving – when you guide a child to make a better
choice when inappropriate behavior is exhibited.
- God is faithful – when you respond quickly to a child’s
need and create a special Sunday School environment for them.
- God is ever-present – when you arrive early and greet
the children at eye-level, sit on the floor and talk with them.
- God is mighty – when you exercise self-control over your
actions and reactions and provide positive guidance when needed.
- You will be fleshing out your faith by “being imitators
of God.” (Eph. 5:1)
