The Word for the Wise: Making Scripture the Heart of Your Counseling Ministry Laity Care Center
Open to anyone but required by those working in the Laity Care Center. Based on the book The Word for the Wise by Henry Brandt and Kerry L. Skinner, parents, teachers, church leaders, and counselors will learn to present the truth in love to help angry, broken, confused people look at their lives from a Biblical perspective. Worldly solutions offer people only temporary relief from their problems, but Biblical counseling offers a trustworthy and lasting cure. Led by Dr. Kerry L. Skinner.

Come join us for the latest Beth Moore Bible study! Whether you do this new Bible Study with us each week or just come for fellowship and God’s Word, you will be blessed! Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent is a detailed study of Psalms 120-134 and engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 Psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God who is always available and ready to hear us!
Bizzy Moms Off Campus
Moms know it is sometimes difficult to navigate through the toddler to teenage years. That is where our Bizzy Moms Mentors come in. We all need some encouragement, prayer, and laughter to help us “train our children in the way they should go.” Bizzy Moms meets the last Wednesday of the month at our Mentors’ homes from 9:00 – 11:30 AM beginning Wednesday, January 30. As our gift to you, childcare is provided until
1:30 PM. (Childcare reservations are required by calling Ann Howard at 661-8350, ext. 2248.) For more information on joining a Bizzy Moms group, call Feleda Keene at 660-2426.

Mission Friends (7:00 – 8:00 PM)
Mission Friends is a missions study program especially designed for preschoolers aged four and five (as of September 1, 2007). Boys and girls discover interesting facts about missions work and missionaries all over the world. Activities include mission stories, Bible stories, crafts, music, and tasting/eating food from different cultures and countries.

Crown Biblical Financial Study 1118/1119
Explore and experience God’s perspective on material possessions, work, relationships, money, retirement, children, honesty, giving and receiving advice, debt, and much more. This small group, 10-week study takes a look at what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. Led by Dennis and Pamela Werry and James and Kim Fountain. Class is from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday nights beginning January 20.
