love where you live
As followers of Jesus, our command is to love God and love people. That looks like caring for the hurting, oppressed and less fortunate. We want to partner with you to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in the greater Mobile area. What would happen if we really took to heart Jesus’ command to love our neighbors - whoever and wherever they might be? What would happen if we stopped talking about our next move and started loving where we live?
Below is a list of our current LWYL opportunities. For more information about any of these projects, contact Lonnie Lundy.
love where you live house
We’re partnering together with you to do more than we’ve ever done before by building and giving away a home to a family in need! We have the land and the supplies, but we need your help to put it all together! Fill out the form below if you’re willing to be part of this project in any capacity! No experience is necessary. We’ll put you to work at your own pace.
Each week we have countless visitors on our church campus. Will you join us in reaching out to them? Sign up to join a guest visit team!
SOMERBY & AHEPA BIBLE STUDY
Join one of our many teams that spreads the Gospel in senior adult living centers each week! Our teams act as satellite campuses and host weekly Bible studies featuring previously recorded sermons by Pastor Alan. Get involved today!
Be a witness around the world right here at home. Join us as we visit the various ships moored at the State Docks and share the Gospel with those on board.
STRICKLAND YOUTH CENTER
Many teenagers in Mobile struggle to survive and find themselves at the Strickland Youth Center to reconcile poor choices and plan their next steps. We have a unique opportunity to meet them where they are and act as the hands and feet of Jesus. Live out the Great Commission and reach the next generation!
Once a week a small team delivers cleaning supplies to the Victory Health center and assists the staff with cleaning, filing paperwork and other office tasks.
Delivering Hope ministers to women who are experiencing infertility or miscarriages by providing encouragement in the form of Hope Bags. Each bag contains scriptures of hope, reminders that they are not alone and encouragement for the days ahead. Join this team and help assemble Hope Bags to be delivered to doctors’ offices across Mobile!
Step out of your comfort zone and join us as we minister to the men and women in local prisons.
